Dating game granholm jennifer
Note to Michigan Republican opposition researchers: Step up your game.
Somehow, no one turned up this epic clip of Jennifer Granholm, the current Current TV host and former Michigan governor, when she was running for office.
During the six-and-a-half minute speech, she attacked Mitt Romney’s handling of the auto industry crisis while praising President Obama’s bailout, all while wildly gesturing, pulling extreme faces and throwing impassioned fist-pumps.
(CBS News) She may have been "fiery" and "electric" on stage at the Democratic National Convention last week, but as a contestant on "The Dating Game" in 1978, former Michigan governor-turned-talk show host Jennifer Granholm was described as "cute and curvaceous." Newly unearthed video shows a 19-year-old Granholm - now host of the liberal show, "The War Room with Jennifer Granholm" on Current TV - sporting the decade's signature Farrah Fawcett-inspired mane and a pair of suspenders.
"It was the first time she'd seen it since she'd been on the program," said Boyd, noting that no one in Granholm's circle had ever seen it before.
Boyd and Granholm could not stop laughing after watching the video, Boyd said. My hair could've been a nest for an entire family of birds!
She then clerked for Judge Damon Keith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, became an Assistant U. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1991 and in 1995 she was appointed to the Wayne County Corporation Counsel.
Sadly -- or perhaps not -- Granholm's pairing on the show didn't work out.
She didn't even go on the Palm Springs getaway with the lucky winner, and is now married to leadership expert and UC-Berkeley faculty member Daniel Mulhern.
“I’m a Democrat of the liberal persuasion and I have always admired Jennifer Granholm,” he said.
“And she was 19 years old, so I think she could be excused for being on a stupid show.” Less than nine months after leaving office, Michigan former Governor Jennifer Granholm has published an account of her administration.
